GRAIN BODIES

Hard-working and dependable, this body is an Eastern North Carolina tradition that has served the functional needs of our farming community for over 25 years. Our long-lasting, good-looking sides are available in either Duraply, an amazing 3/4” laminated smooth-grain plywood, or solid 12 gauge steel. Combined with our heavy-duty platform and hoist, this body will work in the fields for many years to come.

Standard Specifications & Equipment:

Grain Sides:

Removable 48” high with 12 ga. formed steel posts and top caps with 3/4” Duraply (laminated plywood) or 12 ga. steel siding; includes chains and rope rail

Grain Gate:

Removable swing-out with center grain chute and double bar locks

Platform:

Any length X 96” wide with inside stake pockets and 1/4” X 5”steel plate side rail

Deck:

1/8” smooth steel

Understructure:

4” formed channel crossmembers on 12” centers and 6” structural channel longitudinal runners (7” structural channel longitudinal runners will be used on bodies 18’ and longer)

Headboard:

Heavy duty 12 ga. permanent straight steel headboard braced to body runners; expanded metal window to enhance visibility

Tailpan:

7” structural channel with recessed lighting

Hoist:

Twin-telescopic cyclinder or scissors

Paint:

Black
